I'm standing next to my friend Jill. We in turn are surrounded by hundreds of people. It's hot and smelly in here, but the air is electric. The stage is low, and as close as it could be to assure the safety of the bands. The only thing keeping us distant is the twenty or so bodyguards we the crowd invest respect in. I've often wondered why we do this. Maybe the guards have tasers- but they couldn't possibly taser us all. Maybe it's because of what happened only three hundred and sixty three days prior. When I got this essay, I thought I knew precisely what I was going to write. I was going to write that fear was the thought that you were going to die any moment. But then I thought that wasn't true.
